Bay of Fires.

Today the parents and I rode north out of St. Helens to the Bay of Fires. This is really a special area in the world, it is definitely one of the most amazing coastlines I have ever heard of and walked. The ride was amazing despite terrible winds. I think that the picture should help explain why the Bay of Fires is such a unique place. The rocks are granite boulders which is the bed rock layer around here, and the orange coating on the rocks is actually a special kind of lichen that grows along the Bay of Fires coast. I was very happy to snap this shot on the beach today. I hope you like it.
